Former president of the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee V.M. Sudheeran on Friday wrote to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan seeking a debate at the political, social and spiritual levels on the Supreme Court verdict on entry of women of all ages into the Sabarimala temple.
He said that the State government’s unilateral decision against filing a review petition before the Supreme Court was inappropriate. The review petition should be filed after all-round exchange of opinions. The TDB should have taken an independent stand on the issue, but the Chief Minister’s intervention prevented it from doing so.
