An 8-year-old Swedish-American girl stumbled across a pre-viking-era sword when she was swimming at a lake in Sweden.????The Jönköpings Läns Museum says the 33-inch sword has preserved metal and wood around it.

????The Local says the little girl was at her family’s summer home in Sweden when she pulled the sword from Vidöstern lake.

????Although the discovery was not made public until recently because museum officials worried too many people would rush to the lake.

????The lake water was especially low this year due to a drought which may have helped the girl find the sword.

????Ironically, the girl grew up in Minnesota and is a big Minnesota Vikings football fan so the fact that she found the artifact kind of makes her the ultimate fan.
