International Biodiversity Congress of 2018 concludes in Dehradun

The International Biodiversity Congress of 2018 was held in Dehradun between October 4 to 6. The aim was to raise awareness against the rising levels of biodiversity loss and reducing the pressure on the environment. It was organised by the Uttarakhand Biodiversity Board and Uttarakhand Council for Science and Technology, with the support of other international and national NGOs. The International Biodiversity Congress is organised in line with the “United Nations Decade of Biodiversity” program that was introduced by the UN General assembly for implementation between 2011-2020.
