SOCCER: Nicholas McMahon scores twice as Case defeats Wareham

Nicholas McMahon scored twice as Case defeated Wareham 8-1 in South Coast Conference boys' soccer on Thursday at Joseph Santos Field in Swansea.

Ryan Nascimento, Antonio Luna, Ryan Simons, Colby Campos and Jason Monteiro each scored once. Case keeper Jarrod Sutcliffe made four saves.

The Cardinals are 3-3-1.

Girls' Soccer

Case 2, Fairhaven 0: Meredith Castro and Tori Bettencourt accounted for the Cardinals' goals. Megan Borges and Katelyn Oliveira provided the assists.

 Julie Heaton made eight saves, including one off a penalty kick, for the Cardinals (3-4-1).
