Stolen Hummer rams cars trying to escape Brisbane roadworks traffic
A stolen Hummer has rammed several vehicles in roadworks traffic on Brisbane's southside, before the occupants got out, punched another driver and fled into bushland.
The man and woman from the Hummer remain on the run, after going on their Logan Motorway rampage on Wednesday night.
Police said the Hummer, reported stolen from the Logan suburb of Edens Landing last Friday, was stuck in roadworks congestion at Parkinson about 8pm.
The driver tried to weave their way around cars before ramming three vehicles in an attempt to escape traffic.
The Hummer was reversed into a car, scraped down the right-hand side of another vehicle and reversed into a van, according to police.
The man and woman inside then abandoned their stolen car and tried to carjack other motorists.
They threatened and punched one driver who refused to get out of their car, before trying to carjack another driver, who locked their doors, and fleeing into bushland.
The man has been described as Caucasian, aged in his late 20s with short brown hair. The woman has been described as Caucasian, aged in her early 30s with long brown hair.
They remained on the run on Thursday morning and anyone with information or dashcam footage has been urged to contact police.
