Don Bosco eves, Anglo Urdu boys score 5

PUNE: Don Bosco High School eves and Anglo Urdu High School boys rode on individual brilliance to advance in their respective categories in the Reliance Foundation Youth Sports football tournament, at the De Nobilli College ground.

In the School girl’s category, Don Bosco eased past Mother Theresa School 5-0 with Rita scoring thrice for the winners. She opened the scoring in the 5th minute and netted two more in the 12th and 36th minutes. Lavina Mascarenhas (6th) and Sanika Tayade (29th) completed the tally.

Later, in the junior boys’ category, Anglo Urdu Boys High School registered an identical 5-0 win over Samta Balak Mandir School. The hero of Anglo Urdu’s win was Arshad Khan (43th, 45th, 48th) who was assisted by a brace from Salman Shaikh (9th, 47th).

Meanwhile Amanora School edged out Matoshri English Medium School 2-1.
