Teenager Shaw scores century on debut

India piled on the runs on the opening day of the first of two Tests against West Indies, thanks largely to Prithvi Shaw, who was making his debut at Rajkot.

Shaw scored 134 from 154 deliveries, racing to his century from just 99 balls as he became India’s youngest batsman to score a century on debut. The 18-year-old put on a 206-run partnership for the second wicket with Cheteshwar Pujara, who scored 86 before being dismissed.
