Coimbatore: A day after the rural police charged Christian preacher Mohan C Lazarus with hate speech, the city police on Wednesday booked him on the same charges.
In a video that has gone viral, Lazarus, a native of Tuticorin, is seen calling Tamil Nadu the house of devils during a prayer meeting. He also criticized the Kancheepuram mutt for treating the former seer of the mutt as God.

The rural police on Tuesday booked the pastor in three police stations based on the complaint from BJP functionary Murugesan and VHP functionary Mano Shankar.

On Wednesday, S Ramanathan of VNR Nagar in Vadavalli filed a complaint against the preacher with the Variety Hall police after watching a video of him abusing Hindu Gods.TNN
