Gold, Rs 1Lakh stolen from moneylender’s house in Tirupur

Tirupur: Three burglars broke into the house of a moneylender at Dharapuram here on Thursday and decamped with Rs 1lakh in cash and gold worth Rs 1lakh.
House owner Manoharan, who runs a business in Rajasthan, was staying at the house at Meenakshipuram in Dharapuram along with his family. He had gone to see his daughter living in Chennai. His neighbour, who noticed an SUV parked in front of the house on Thursday morning, confronted its driver. Meanwhile, two people ran out of the house and got into the SUV, which then fled from the scene. The neighbour immediately informed Manoharan.

Police found the front door of the house broke open and valuables missing.
