NEW DELHI: Water scarcity created chaos in south Delhi areas on Thursday, with women taking lead in a protest at Adhchini Chowk between 9am and 10am.

Many women held up traffic at Adhchini saying "there was no water supply in their areas".

Around 10am, Delhi Traffic Police tweeted, "Traffic is affected at Adhchini Chowk due to demonstration. Kindly avoid the stretch."

@rishi_suri tweeted that residents of Adhchini "have blocked the road protesting scarcity of water in their area".



@Prashaant1604 said: there was a "serious traffic jam" at Adhchini signal for last 20 minutes".
