The police Thursday seized immovable property of a Maoist in Giridih district, a senior police officer said.
The Maoist Jharilal Mahato had earned huge property in the form levy collected in the name of top naxal leaders, Superintendent of Police, Surendra Kumar Jha said.
The immovable property of Mahato were worth crore of rupees, the police said.
Among the immovable property, Mahato had land at several places in the district including Dumri, the SP said adding that Mahatos huge land was identified and seized in Dumri.
The administration have also imposed ban on sale of the land, he said.
Police had registered cases against Mahato in Pirtand police station in 1999 and 2008 under relevant sections in connection with naxal activities as well as explosive act.
