According to the Rapid Disaster Need Assessment conducted by the and the Asian Development Bank, the total loss incurred by various sectors of the state was to the tune of Rs 25,050 crore, Vijayan said.

However, the actual loss in the industries and trade sectors had not been assessed by the ADB and the team, he said.

A large number of people have to be rehabilitated, he said, adding that the price of land for rehabilitation of such people would alone come to around Rs 400 crore.
