Aurangabad, Maharashtra, A Jet Airways flight No. 9W 355, which was coming from Mumbai to Aurangabad, was hit by a bird while landing at Chikathana airport on Wednesday morning.
However, the alert pilot landed the flight safely, and all the passengers at board are unhurt, sources said.
The incident happened while the flight was landing at the airport, the left side of the plane was hit by the heron. So, the return journey of the flight to Mumbai was cancelled due to technical reason.
As many as 21 passengers including city Mla Atul Save and the chairman of the Marathwada Statutory Development Board, senior BJP leader, Dr Bhagwat Karad, had to cancel their journey to Mumbai, sources added.
