NEW DELHI: Justice Ranjan Gogoi on Wednesday took oath as the 46th Chief Justice of India (CJI) at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

He was appointed as the 46th CJI by Preisdent Ram Nath Kovind last month.

Justice Gogoi will be the first CJI from the North East.
