We’ve heard about 24 hour races and challenges in the past, however none have been conducted at the Buddh International Circuit – India’s only Formula One spec race track until recently. Mercedes-Benz along with JK Tyres decided to come together with team Overdrive and set a Limca Record for taking two Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedans around the track for 24 hours straight and covering over 2200 kilometres in the process.
Now, driving on a race track is very different from doing a similar drive on a nice oval track as the numerous corners on a racetrack do play more havoc with the tyres than the oval. Keeping that in mind, the challenge of taking these two luxury sedans around the track for 24 hours straight meant that they needed the right tyres and JK Tyres had the answer with their new UX1 tyres.
