HYDERABAD: TRS party president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao literally spit at the Congress-TDP alliance for the forthcoming assembly elections. At the party’s election public meeting in Nizamabad on Wednesday, KCR expressed disgust at the Congress party joining hands with the TDP which had been against the very formation of the Telangana state.

“If the Congress begged us, the TRS could have given them four seats,” KCR said. He described the TDP as “Telangana drohi” and TDP national president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu as “Durmargudu (evil person)” and “Addamaina donga (thief)”. Taking strong objection to TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy calling him “Batte baaj” (cheat), KCR asked the crowd: “Is that acceptable? Can someone use such language against the chief minister of the state?” he asked the crowd.

KCR said the people were wondering why he was not the same old KCR with his strong and pungent language. “As one leading a movement, using such language was necessary but as a chief minister, I have to draw the line. But if I choose to, I can still be at my abusive best and speak all through the night till morning,” he said.

Chandrasekhar Rao also gave the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) a piece of his mind. He pointed out that BJP state president had promised to people that if the BJP were to come to power, it would pay the house rents for all the people. “This is a joke. I’ve not heard this happy anywhere in the world. Let Narendra Modi first deposit Rs 15 lakh into every person’s account as he had promised to bring back black money from abroad and do it. “Let Modi deposit the amount and we will pay Laxman his rent,” he said mocking at Laxman.

For all the cases that the Congress had filed against the projects undertaken by the TRS government, the distribution of cheques under the Rythu Bandhu scheme in November and also the elections, Chandrasekhar Rao said it was distasteful. “The Congress would even want to file a court case on one wanting to go to the toilet,” he remarked.

KCR explained why he opted for early polls. He said since the Congress was opposing the government on everything and placing hurdles, he decided to take the step. “I got furious (thikka regi) and decided to go for polls,” he said. He said the Congress had realised with all the schemes being implemented, it would have no chance in the next elections. “Congress leaders said to themselves that KCR gaadu (that fellow KCR) is many things and we have to stop him,” he said adding that their ‘selfish agenda’ was only to stop him.

On Congress remarks that the agreement with Maharashtra over Godavari rivers was inked during the time of chief minister Jalagam Vengal Rao itself, KCR quipped: “Let them show the document. If Jalangam did or some Yelligadu (some fellow) did it. It was I who went to Maharashtra and did it,” he said.
