Italian Startup Zava Teases Curious Hypercar With AI Tech

An Italian startup dubbed Zava Hypercars has just dropped a teaser video of a vehicle it will premiere on October 4th at the Real Bodies Show in Milan.

Dubbed the PrometheuS (yes, with a capital S), the vehicle will be presented as a 1:5 scale model that’s been formed through 3D-printing. The teaser video reveals that the vehicle will have an outlandish exterior design, perhaps just as wild as the Apollo IE, and come complete with bold wings, exposed carbon fiber parts, and some very sharp edges and surfaces.

However, it’s not the design of the vehicle that has us the most interested; it’s the company’s description of the vehicle.

According to Zava, the PrometheuS will debut with “A.I. neuronal control systems.” The company claims that these systems will be able to monitor the driver’s physical condition while also allowing for a “real-time interaction” between the driver’s mind and the vehicle’s controls to turn the car into “an extension of the human body.”

That sounds like something straight out of a science fiction film and is obviously the reason why the vehicle will premiere at an event dedicated to the human anatomy.

It’s no secret that large automakers are working on smart technologies that interact with a driver. However, no technologies as advanced as those promised by Zava are ready for production. We also doubt that a small Italian company which no one has heard of has somehow developed and implemented technology years ahead of the industry’s leading automakers.

Nonetheless, if the vehicle interests you, keep your eyes peeled for more information when it becomes available.
