At its launch event, across overseas venues in seven locations including Beijing, Sao Paulo, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Amsterdam, Dubai and Hong Kong, Hanergy Thin Film Power Group introduced its BIPV product HanWall, which is the world’s first integrated solar powered wall solution.

Being its newest development in the building integrated PV segment, HanWall will be using its simple installation of rooftop solar panels and will be making power generating capabilities an integral part of the fabric of a building. HanWall can generate 326 MW of electricity per day as it is equipped with CIGS solar cell technology. Benefits of HanWall like abiding power generation, guaranteeing at least 85 per cent output for 25 years, etc. were emphasised during the event. Liu Qian, Chief Designer,

Hanergy Solar Design Institute said, “HanWall’s availability in four different colours and various sizes allows building designers to utilise their creative ability to build new eco landmarks. HanWall can resist a grade-12 typhoon and it can adapt to temperatures from -40 degree Celsius to +85 degree Celsius.”

Besides, the 100 New Eco Landmarks initiative was also launched by Hanergy. As a part of this initiative, Hanergy will cooperate with USGBC (US Green Building Council) to jointly promote the concept of eco buildings. Also, the world’s largest thin-film power solution company will now be collaborating with famous architects, KOLs and LEED consultants to form a commission called the LEED Green Building and Renewable Energy Commission. This commission is set up to identify building which either have LEED certification or are applying for it and to provide the buildings with HanWall solutions for free or at a discounted rate.
