Updated 2019 Acura ILX is $2,200 Cheaper

The 2019 Acura ILX has been priced from $25,900 before destination, which represents a $2,200 price reduction from the pre-update 2018 ILX. With the $995 destination included, the 2019 ILX will start at $26,895.

The entry-level ILX comes with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine making 201 hp and 180 lb-ft of torque, which sends power to the front wheels through an eight-speed dual clutch transmission. Standard equipment includes new ‘JewelEye’ LED headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels, a 10-way power driver’s seat, heated front seats, a power moonroof and the AcuraWatch suite of active safety tech.

While some consumers were expecting the 2019 ILX to differ more from the pre-update 2018 model, Acura was able to reduce the price while making improvements by not going overboard with the changes.

“The critical mission of ILX is to bring new buyers into the brand, and our entire product and pricing strategy reflects that focus,” said Acura manager Jon Ikeda. “We believe that what we’ve done with ILX from a design and technology standpoint, together with aggressive pricing, will strengthen its position as our gateway sedan and as a segment leader in terms of attracting millennial buyers.”
