Russia, India To Sign S-400 Missile Deal This Week: Kremlin
Russia and India will sign a more than $5 billion deal on the delivery of S-400 anti-aircraft missiles
Moscow and Delhi will sign a deal worth more than $5 billion on the delivery of Russian S-400 anti-aircraft missiles when President Vladimir Putin visits India later this week, Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov said on Tuesday.
"The key feature of this visit will be the signing of the agreement to deliver S-400 air defence systems," said Vladimir Putin's top foreign policy aide Yury Ushakov.
Mr Ushakov added, "The value of the contract will be more than $5 billion."
Last month, the United States had warned against the deal by saying that it would be considered as a "significant transaction" and also has a potential for imposing tough US sanctions.
Donald Trump, the President of United States had signed an executive order last month, paving the way for slapping crippling sanctions on countries and foreign entities and individuals violating the Countering America's Adversaries Through Sanctions Act (CAATSA).
