Goffin ends season due to elbow injury

2018-10-03 13:37

Brussels - Belgian No 1 David Goffin has ended his season early due to an ongoing elbow injury, he announced on Wednesday.

"I need at least one month to recover, that's why I'm sad to announce I have to end my season," Goffin, who is 11th on the ATP rankings, said on his Facebook page.

Goffin, 27, had already pulled out of tournaments in Tokyo and Shanghai because of "intense pain in my right elbow".

He will miss end-of-season tournaments in Antwerp, the Paris Masters and the London Masters.
