It is proposed to hold two special camps — on Sunday and October 21 — in all polling stations of the Puducherry Union Territory to enable electors to register their names or carry out corrections in the electoral roll.
A press note from V. Candavelou, Chief Electoral Officer, said this was as per the direction of the Election Commission of India to conduct a special summary revision of electoral rolls with January 1, 2019 as qualifying date to register new voters.
He appealed to the public to utilise the camps which were being conducted in all polling stations of the Union Territory.
