The first season of the Will & Grace revival ended with major upheaval: Will (Eric McCormack) and Grace (Debra Messing) discovered that their parents hooked up and are now considering marriage; Jack (Sean Hayes) got engaged to a hot flight attendant on a whim and Karen (Megan Mullally) called off her longtime affair with Malcolm (Alec Baldwin) in order to be faithful to Stanley. But anyone who's seen this show knows to expect the unexpected, and that the long-running, newly revived NBC sitcom will have more twists and turns in a season than any amusement park. TV Guide caught up with the cast on the set recently to try to piece together some of the madcap adventures to come in Season 2.

Jack
For as long as anyone's known him, Jack McFarland has been the resident playboy on Will & Grace. Sure, he's had his fair share of loves, flings and many, many hookups that led to feelings but a one-man kinda guy Jack has just never been.

Sean Hayes as Jack McFarland, Will & Grace

That changes in the second season of the Will & Grace revival. Jack really is going to be a married man -- he's the betrothed of Estafan (Brian Jordan Alvarez), the flight attendant he met in Ibiza...while getting over some other dude. (Hey, why wait on love right?) Hayes told TV Guide that Jack will try his best to be a good husband -- even if he does have a bit of a wandering eye. "'I've always played him like a teenaged girl -- and he will remain that why while balancing real problems." While it's too soon to know if Jack and Stefan make it till the end of the season ("He might have a bit of a wandering eye," Hayes said.) fans will no doubt delight in seeing Jack trying to be husband material -- especially in a coming scene where Jack accidentally paralyzes himself while using a cream to numb himself ahead of a beauty procedure.

Pivot! David Schwimmer Is Heading to Will & Grace

Debra Messing as Grace Adler, David Schwimmer as Noah Broader, Will & Grace

Grace
Real life inspires art as Grace, made legendary by Debra Messing, takes up politics just like Messing herself, although not via Twitter wars with other celebs. Grace is running for president of a design board and well, we all know how Grace gets when she's worked up. Perhaps it's good then, that she's got a distraction to keep her somewhat calm: a new flame played by David Schwimmer.

Eric McCormack as Will Truman, Will & Grace

Will
Trying his hand at teaching now, Will begins schooling youngins on law at a community college this season. Of course, he -- like Grace -- will be dealing with the ick factor of seeing his mom Marilyn (Blythe Danner) falling in love (and possibly getting married) to Grace's dad Martin Robert Klein, but from the looks of it, Will isn't going to let external events turn him into the frantic ball of nerves fans know so well. Instead, Will is handling all the changes in his life, including his best friend's marriage, with a degree of grace -- pardon the pun. "We're not going to play any of that, 'How come you [Jack] got married and [Will] didn't? What we're going for for Will is 'What if I'm OK being a man of a certain age and happy?' There isn't a sense of desperation." That might have something to do with the fact that Will's getting a hot new bae of his own, played by Matt Bomer.

Alec Baldwin as Malcolm Widmark, Megan Mullally as Karen Walker, Will & Grace

Karen Walker
The doyenne of dirty deeds is about to be in for the shock of her life when Stanley dumps her before she can divorce him. So yes, Karen Walker is about to be a New York City girl on the prowl, and she may not be able to compartmentalize and play the field as well as one might expect. "Karen doesn't have a heart," Mullally said, "but there are glimpses of something resembling one, and [those glimpses] are starting to present themselves closer together than they normally would."

All this craziness culminates in someone getting married this season and, knowing Will & Grace, it's bound to be a couple we least expect. Got any good guesses?

Will & Grace returns Thursday Oct. 4 at 9/8c on NBC.
