Non-allotment of portfolios during Pitru Paksh comes under attack

Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has decided to allot more portfolios only after Pitru Paksh, which is considered to be the non-auspicious period as per the Hindu scriptures.MGP minister Sudin Dhavalikar has thus said the allotment would be done after 9th of October, when Pitru Paksh would end.But this belief of the politicians has come under fire from rationalist writers like Uday Bhembre. Pitru Paksh is a lunar fortnight when Hindus pay homage to their ancestors. It began on 25th September and would end on 9th of October.
