To mark the onset of the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Devi Ahilyabai Airport Administration offered Rs 1 crore for the treatment bone marrow transplant. The grant is meant only for the poor. In a formal ceremony held at Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College, a MoU was signed on Tuesday. The MoU was inked by director of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport Aryama Sanyal and Dean of MGM Medical College Dr Jyoti Bindal.
Later, Sanyal said Airport Authority of India has offered Rs 1 crore to MGM Medical College management. The amount will be used for the treatment of the poor. The grant will also be utilised to provide chemo therapy to poor cancer patients. This an initiative under the AAI’s Corporate Social Responsibility.
Similarly, under the Cleanliness Mission, the airport administration offered 17 toilets to a school located in Kankariya village of Hatod block of the district on Tuesday. Neha Meena, CEO Jila Panchayat and Ex-CEO of Jila Panchayat Kirti Khurasia dedicated the toilets. Sports kits were also given away to the students of the school. Airport Director Sanyal, Meena and Khurasia did the sapling plantation also. Addressing the function, Meena appreciate the initiative of the city airport administration for taking care about toilets for the students.
