ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION).
U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday awarded the Medal of Honor to former U.S. Army medic Ronald J.
Shurer II awarded "for conspicuous gallantry" for actions he took while serving in 2008 in Afghanistan.
Trump said Shurer braved enemy gunfire and at one point thought he might die as he provided emergency life saving treatment to his comrads.
Trump said Shurer's name would be engraved "alongside America's greatest heroes."
