Youths reportedly cause chaos on public transport in city's south-east
A large group of youths have reportedly caused chaos on public transport in the city's south-east on Wednesday night.
The incident reportedly began in Paterson Drive in Lynbrook, after police said they were called to an assault.
A large group of youths, believed to be of African appearance, were gathered in a reserve next to Lynbrook railway station, police said.
Reports said the youths were forcing train doors open and shouting abuse at passengers.
The youths were asked to move on with the majority catching trains at the nearby station.
No victims made themselves known to police and no offences were detected, police said.
The youths movements on the public transport system is being monitored by Transit police and Protective Services Officers.
