KOLKATA: Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation (Hidco) will allot two bulk plots, measuring 13.3 acres in total, and nine plots measuring about 330 sq metres each in New Town for residential purposes through e-auction.The auctions are likely to commence in November.
The two bulk plots in Action Area II, would be allotted on a 99-year-lease hold basis. The nine plots are in Action Area II B.
Officials said the bulk plots would be allotted for setting up large residential complexes and the nine smaller plots for cooperative societies.
Construction of housing complexes on the two bulk lands is expected to be completed within five years from the date of issuing the lease.
Last year, Hidco decided to allot 100 residential plots in New Town after a gap of almost eight years.
In the first phase, 75 plots ranging from two to four cottahs, were allotted through lottery. Hidco had received 4,331 applications for the 75 odd plots.
