Loyola scores tie-breaker win over Yashwantrao Mohite Junior College

Pune: Loyola Junior College defeated Yashwantrao Mohite Junior College 4-3 in the tie-breaker during the second round match of the Under-19 category played at PDFA Football Grounds in Dobarwadi on Monday.

The score was locked 0-0 at the end of the regulation time. In the tie-breaker, Nischal Kumar, Yash Deshpande, Neeraj Gawli and Utsav Goyal scored in a tie-breaker for victorious team.

In the first match, Pune International School defeated City International School 1-0. Prasad Kone scored lone goal of the match in the 12th minute for the victorious team.

Wadia College also advanced into the tournament with 2-0 win over Dr Shamarao Kalmadi High School and Junior College.

After a goalless ten minutes, Rishikesh Dudhane netted first goal for Wadia College in the 11th minute. Yash Sonigrah made it 2-0 with scoring goal in the 21st minute.
In the Under-17 category semifinal, St Vincent’s School outplayed Loyola High School 1-0 to secure a place in final. Goal from Lakshya Harplani in the seventh minute helped St Vincent’s to seal a match in their favour.
