MUMBAI:
Nana Patekar, accused by fellow actor
Tanushree Dutta of harassment, sent a legal notice to Dutta on Friday evening, his counsel, advocate
Rajendra Shirodkar told TOI.
“We’ve denied allegations against Nana Patekar. The legal notice asks Tanushree Dutta to apologise and withdraw the allegations. If she fails to, we will initiate criminal defamation proceedings against her,” said Shirodkar.
On Monday, an old video of Dutta’s car being attacked in 2008 surfaced. MNS claimed it was not party workers who had damaged the car on a film set in 2008 when she alleged harassment.
Amey Khopkar, president of an MNS-affiliated film workers’ union, said that Dutta had named
Raj Thackeray as the force behind the attack to seek “publicity”.
“I’m told she’s creating controversy as she plans to enter a reality TV show. We will not allow its filming. In fact, we won’t allow her to work in the industry at all,” he said.
Tanushree has made no such claim.
