THANE: A five-month-old foetus was found at Vitawa bridge by the Kalwa police on Tuesday.
The police said that they had received a call from an unidentified person saying that a foetus was lying near Vitawa bridge.

The cops is suspect that it could be a case of forceful abortion as neither the sex could be determined nor was the foetus grown properly. The police also suspect that this could be a case of an illegitimate relationship.

A senior official said that they probing the case from all angels. Further investigations will be conducted and locals will also be interrogated.

The cops have also carried out a panchnama of the place. A case has been registered against the accused under Section 318 of the Indian Penal Code.
