Mandurah bank robbery: Offender flees with cash after armed hold-up

Police are on the hunt for a man following an armed robbery at a Mandurah bank on Monday afternoon.

About 2.10pm, police were called to Mandurah’s central business district after receiving reports a man had fled with a significant amount of money from St George Bank.

Police have urged the public to keep an eye out for a fair-skinned man, about 175 centimetres tall, wearing a black cap, dark sunglasses and jumper.

Mandurah’s detective senior sergeant Trevor Troy said a man entered the building and handed a bank teller a note demanding an undisclosed quantity of cash.

The man pretended to conceal a weapon under his jumper during the incident.
