New Delhi, The GST revenue, collected in September this year, showed an upward trend as it increased by Rs 482 cr from last month and stood up at Rs 94,442 crore, the Government said on Monday.
The revenue collected in August 2018 was Rs 93,960.Of the total revenue, CGST was Rs 15,318 crore, SGST Rs 21,061 crore, IGST Rs 50,070 crore – including Rs 25,308 crore collected on imports – and cess Rs 7,993 crore.
The cess amount of Rs 7,993 crore also included an amount of Rs 769 crore which was collected through cess on imports, according to a data released by the Finance Ministry here.
The total number of GSTR 3B Returns filed for August up to September 30 this year was Rs 67 lakh.
The total revenue earned by Central Government and state governments after settlement in September, 2018 was Rs 30,574 crore for CGST and Rs 35,015 crore for the SGST.
Earlier, the Government had collected Rs 93,690 crore in August this year. However, the amount is less than that in July 2018, in which the total gross was Rs 96,483 crore. In this financial year, the government had collected the maximum revenue in April where the total sum was Rs 1,03,459 crore.
