Fifteen victims of police firing during the May anti-Sterlite agitation submitted a petition to the District Revenue Officer at the Collectorate here on Monday seeking government jobs.
Many of the victims, who submitted their petitions separately, said they had suffered disability due to the firing and it would take a long time before they could resume their work.
DRO M. Veerappan received the petitions in the absence of Collector Sandeep Nanduri, who has left for New Delhi on an official visit.
Nine persons, who were injured, along with family members of 10 persons, who were killed in the police firing, got appointed as Village Assistants and noon-meal assistants recently.
