NEW DELHI: The Congress leadership has decided to intensify its agitation against the Modi government over the Rafale deal by taking it “from Raj Bhavans to villages”. The AICC has issued directions to Congress state units to make plans to convert these anti-Rafale deal agitations into a major “corruption” plank against the Centre.

“Congress leaders and workers are intensifying the agitation against the Modi government over the corrupt Rafale deal, especially in the wake of more revelations and due to the failure of the government to answer any of our questions.

Now, Congress leaders and workers will go all out to hold agitations from state and district headquarters to the grassroots level,” said Ashok Gehlot, AICC general secretary in-charge of organisations.

Haryana PCC president Ashok Tanwar said the state Congress is all set to take the Rafale deal protests to the villages.

“After staging a massive rally at Panipat on Sunday, the PCC is now all set to take the agitations against the Centre over the Rafale deal to villages across Haryana as people of the state, who have a very sizable presence in the Army, are extremely angry over this mega corruption in a defence deal,” Tawar said.
