Samsung Galaxy J6 receives permanent price cut in India; starting price at 12,490

The Samsung Galaxy J6 has reportedly received a price cut in India. The 3GB RAM variant which was earlier priced at Rs 13,990 will now be available for Rs 12,490. On the other hand, the 4GB RAM variant which was earlier priced at Rs 15,990 will now be available for Rs. 13,990.
The development comes from Mumbai-based mobile retailer Mahesh Telecom who announced the price on Twitter. At the moment, there is no official word from Samsung regarding the price drop.

The Galaxy J6 sports a 5.6-inch HD+ AMOLED Infinity Display. It will be powered by an octa-core Exynos 7870 processor, paired with 3GB and 4GB RAM options. It will be available in storage options such as 32GB or 64GB and includes expandable storage of up to 256GB via microSD card. The smartphone will include a 13MP rear camera along with an 8MP front-facing camera. A 3,000mAh battery completes the package.
Recently, Samsung also launched the Galaxy J6+ smartphone in India for a price of Rs 15,990. The smartphone features a 6-inch HD+ Infinity Display with a 1480×720 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor paired with 4GB of RAM. It includes an internal storage of 64GB. It comes equipped with a 13MP f/1.9 rear camera with LED flash. It also includes a 5MP front-facing camera. Connectivity features include 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, GLONASS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. A 3300mAh battery completes the package.
