Did not support Modi on Rafale deal, says Sharad Pawar

AURANGABAD: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar on Monday asserted that he never supported or defended PM Modi for the ongoing Rafale controversy.

“Some people assume that I defended Modi, but it’s not true. I had just said that unless I have evidence, I will not name anyone,” he said.

The former CM of Maharashtra said that “simply loot” has taken place in the name of Rafale and asserted for a JPC probe. “Why they are shying away from a probe,” he asked.
