Two men stabbed to death in north Queensland
Two men were stabbed to death and two other people injured in a disturbance at a north Queensland home overnight.
Police said shortly after midnight a 29-year-old woman went to a Topton Street address in Alva, about 50 kilometres south-east of Townville, and a group of men arrived at the address not long after.
Police said an altercation took place and two of the men, aged 27 and 37, were stabbed.
Both men died at the scene.
Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics attended at 12.29am and assessed the two men, the woman, who had a shoulder injury, and another man who they treated for a leg injury.
The woman was taken to hospital.
A man was taken into custody and was being questioned by police.
