However, to ensure success in cities with a multitude of varying requirements and standards, MaaS must integrate itself into the overall ecosystem of the city itself. Co-operation and mutual interest from the local city authorities, the transportation operators and service providers, as well as the consumers themselves, is essential. Individual interests and a lack of harmonisation between these three groups could hinder mobility services in reaching their greatest attainable potential.
