NEW DELHI: A minister in
Pakistan PM
Imran Khan's cabinet was photographed with 26/11 attacks mastermind
Hafiz Saeed in Islamabad on Sunday while attending a conference.
Noor-Ul-Haq Qadri, who can be seen sitting on the left side of Saeed, is the minister for religious affairs and interfaith harmony in Pakistan.
Qadri was addressing the All Parties Conference where he shared the stage with Saeed.
This comes just days after external affairs minister
Sushma Swaraj exposed and condemned Pakistan’s duplicity in the garb of the ‘Naya Pakistan’ promise by Imran Khan.
During the
United Nations General Assembly last week, Swaraj highlighted Pakistan-sponsored cross-border terrorism, human rights violations in the killing of security personnel along the Line of Control. Calling terrorism as one of the most critical concerns for India, the minister called for measures to emanating it from the Pakistani soil.
Blaming Pakistan for providing safe haven to terrorists such as Osama Bin Laden and Hafiz Saeed, she also said that Islamabad glorifies terrorism and spreads lies about India.
Earlier, India had called off foreign-minister level talks within 24-hours of agreeing to Imran Khan’s offer for a new start by letting the foreign ministers of the two countries talk on the sidelines of UNGA in New York.
India pulled out of talks blaming Pakistan-based terror outfits behind the brutal murders of three security policemen in Jammu & Kashmir and expressing displeasure over Islamabad releasing postage stamps glorifying terrorists who had wreaked mayhem and murders in India.
The US had in April placed the Milli Muslim League (MML) floated by Hafiz Saeed last year, on its list of foreign terrorist organisations. It also designated seven members of MML's central leadership as foreign terrorists.
