Currently the Vitara Brezza is the sole SUV in Maruti's stable in India.
Leading Indian carmaker, Maruti is reportedly planning to bring a micro SUV. As per a report of auto focussed website, Auto Car, the micro SUV could be launched in 2019.

The report claims that the car will be less than 4 meters in length but will have an imposing stance with "high bonnet line and wide haunches".

The upcoming vehicle is expected to feature a 1.2-litre petrol engine. It will be built on Suzuki’s lightweight Heartect platform, added the report.

It is expected to be launched during Diwali next year with starting price of Rs 5 lakh.

Currently the Vitara Brezza is the sole SUV in Maruti's stable in India.

If launched, the micro SUV of Maruti will be the chief opponent of Mahindra KUV100 which is priced Rs 4.69 lakh onwards (ex-showroom Delhi).
