The Arumughasamy Inquiry Commission is set to seek an extension of its term as the final date for submission of report inches closer.

Retired judge Arumugasamy
Chennai:
The one-man commission probing the death of former chief minister J Jayalalithaa is to submit its findings on October 24.
With the deadline looming, the commission is said to be of the view that more time is necessary to examine key witnesses like Dr Richard Beale, who advised on the treatment of Jayalalithaa.
The commission is also reportedly ready to send summons to Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam, Health Minister C Vijaya Baskar, Health Secretary J Radhakrishnan and Lok Sabha Deputy Speaker M Thambidurai.
This will be the third extension sought by the commission.
