Work on setting up a fishing harbour at Mahe will be completed very soon, Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy has said.
Addressing a gathering after inaugurating the E Valsaraj Silver Jubilee hall at Mahe, the Chief Minister said the project was of atmost importance to the development of fishermen in Mahe. The ₹.71-crore project was taken up in 2011. However, only 60% of the work was completed.
He inaugurated door-to-door garbage collection and post-graduation course at Mahe Co-operative College of Higher Education and Technology.
Speaker V. Vaithilingam, and Minister for Tourism Malladi Krishna Rao, were present.
