Bishop’s Camp Under-12’s score win

Pune: It was a mixed day as The Bishop’s School Camp registered a win in the Under-12 category while SSPMS Boarding won in the Under-14 category of the Loyola Football cup being played at Loyola High School football ground here on Saturday.

The tournament has been organised by Ex-Loyola Alumni Network (ELAN).

In the first match of the day which was the Under-12 fixture, The Bishop’s School, Camp defeated SSPMS Boarding 3-2 which was a close match.

Yuvraj Salunke from Bishop’s Camp gave his team the lead when he scored in the 11th minute. Pulling up and intensifying their efforts, the SSPMS Boys tried their best to score the equaliser which finally came in the 21st minute when Deep Musale’s shot made it to the nets.

The scores read 1-1 at half time with the teams eager to take the lead.

In the second half, Yuvraj Salunke scored his second goal in the 25th minute as Bishop’s took the lead. Eric Arland struck three minutes later to make it 3-1 with the Camp outfit leading. Nagesh Mundhe scored the second goal for SSPMS Boarding as the final scored read 3-2.

In the Under-14 encounter, SSPMS Boarding defeated The Bishop’s School, Camp 1-0. 

The Under-16 match witnessed a goalless draw which was played between The Bishop’s School, Camp and SSPMS Boarding.

Under-12: The Bishop’s School, Camp 3 (Yuvraj Salunke 11th,25th, Eric Arland 28th) bt SSPMS Boarding 2 (Deep Musale 21st, Nagesh Mundhe 37th).

Under-14: SSPMS Boarding 1 (Prathamesh Kachare 11th) bt The Bishop’s School, Camp 0.

Under-16: The Bishop’s School, Camp 0 drew with SSPMS Boarding 0.
