Gordon's debut

Josh Gordon will make his Patriots debut today.

The 27-year-old receiver is active and will play against the Miami Dolphins. That’s big news for a Patriots team that’s been struggling on offense. Gordon was inactive last weekend in Detroit and then the Pats put up 10 points in their loss against the Lions.

Gordon should be a boost for the receiving corps that includes Chris Hogan, Phillip Dorsett and Cordarrelle Patterson. This group will get Julian Edelman back next Thursday against Indianapolis.

The Patriots defense will also get some help as Trey Flowers and Patrick Chung return to the lineup. Both players missed last weekend’s game due to concussions.

The Patriots inactives are as follows: Derek Rivers, Keionta Davis, Eric Rowe (groin), Jacob Hollister (chest), Geneo Grissom, Cole Croston and Ted Karras.

John Simon will make his Patriots debut today. He's active over Rivers, Davis and Grissom.

Welcome to Gillette Stadium

Welcome to Gillette Stadium where the Patriots will take on the Miami Dolphins in their Week 4 matchup.

There’s a lot on the line today as the Patriots are on a two-game losing streak. Meanwhile, the Dolphins have started this season 3-0. This matchup represents a chance for the Patriots to get back on the right track. For Miami, it’s a chance to distance themselves from the perennial winners of the AFC East.

It will be interesting to see who suits up for the Patriots. The team had 11 players limited in practice - Rob Gronkowski (ankle), Marcus Cannon (calf), Patrick Chung (concussion), Keion Crossen (hamstring), Nate Ebner (hip), Trey Flowers (concussion), Josh Gordon (hamstring), Geneo Grissom (ankle), Jacob Hollister (chest), Eric Rowe (groin) and Brandon King (foot).

If Gordon makes his Patriots debut, it’ll be become one of the major storylines in today’s game.

In other news, the Patriots won't be getting Ja'Whaun Bentley back. ESPN reported that the linebacker won't return this season due to his undisclosed injury. The Patriots can bring back two players from the injured reserve. Right now, the candidates are Rex Burkhead and Duke Dawson.
