Nava Kerala Lottery mobilises fund for flood relief

Kudumbashree members have sold ₹7 crore worth Nava Kerala lottery tickets till now. The lottery was launched by the Kerala State Lotteries Department to mobilise funds for flood relief and reconstruction operations. Kudumbashree aims at selling maximum possible tickets before the draw of lots on October 3. The Lottery Department is targeting sale of 90 lakh tickets. Ninety people will get the first prize of ₹1 lakh. The second prize of ₹5,000 will be given to 1.8 lakh people.

As many as 13,673 Kudumbashree women are selling the tickets. They have sold 2.8 lakh tickets till now. Kudumbashree’s community theatre group called Ranashree is presenting street plays at eight centres in each district to promote the sale of Nava Kerala lottery.
