RMC to hold Cleanathone on Oct 2

Rajkot: Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) will celebrate Cleanathone on October 2, birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The event is aimed at making cleanliness a habit among citizens. According to RMC nearly 50,000 students of 400 schools will join the Cleanathone.
RMC commissioner Banchha Nidhi pani said, “We will create a pocket of cleanliness. As we are habituated of throw garbage from the bus while travelling, we will put dustbins in city buses and create some pockets of cleanliness.” The RMC officials will also make 50,000 students aware about the importance of classification of wet and dry garbage, he added.
