Bhopal: Narendra Modi committed fraud through Nirav, Mallya, Choksi, says Rahul Gandhi

The government led by Narendra Modi committed a fraud of Rs 82,000 crore during the last four years through Vijay Mallya, Nirav Modi, Anil Ambani and Anil Choksi, said Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Friday.  He made the above remark at a public rally in Teonthar in Rewa district where said those who were involved in Vyapam and e-tender scam would be sent to jail.

At another rally in Baikunthpur in Vindhyachal, Gandhi said if his party formed government in the state, the farmers would get minimum support price that would be four times more than the market rates. Besides, the loans of the farmers would be waived within ten days of the party’s coming to power, because it was their right to get their loans waived, Gandhi said.

The AICC president further said the government led by Narendra Modi waived loans of some industrialists instead the ones taken by farmers. Modi had tried to pass the Land Acquisition Bill thrice in the Lok Sabha, but the Congress did not let it happen, Gandhi said. He wanted to know from Modi the reason for giving Rafale aircraft deal to an industrial house which was running in loss of Rs 45,000crore.

Gandhi said that Rs 520-crore Rafale aircraft was bought for Rs 1600 crore and Modi was answerable to the people of the country for such lapses. He also said, “Modi whose intention is not good and always makes false promises is very arrogant. From the Red Fort, he said that before he came to power, the country was sleeping.” Thousands of people flocked to his road show held in Rewa on the second day of visit to the district. Besides, his rally held on Thursday saw an impressive crowd.
