BEGUSARAI: Bike-borne criminals shot dead a tutor while he was returning home on his bike after giving tuitions in
Begusarai town on Friday night.
The deceased was identified as 55-year-old Anil Kumar Singh, a native of Paine village in Sheikhpura.
The crime took place on the Pipra-Dumri road near
Saraswati Nagar where Singh lived with family in a rented house.
Begusarai ASP Mithilesh Kumar said the criminals, who were waiting for Singh, fired five rounds and fled. He died on the spot. Police recovered four empty cartridges from the spot.
Singh’s family members denied any enmity. “Loot also does not appear to be the motive as his cellphone and other belongings were intact,” the ASP said and added investigations were on.
