GORAKHPUR: The manager of Ma Vindhyavasini shelter home in Deoria, Girija Tripathi, in jail as main accused in the scandal, has been booked in two more cases. She has now been accused of plotting the disappearance of two girls from the home.

The fathers of both girls accused Girija, who is in jail since the August 5 raid, of plotting disappearance of their daughters.

The first case was that of a teenage girl from Rudrapur. She had been sent to the home by police. On Friday, her father filed a complaint saying he had gone to the shelter home several times but Girija never allowed him to meet her. She later told him she was missing, he alleged.

In the second case, a girl from Basti had been sent to the shelter home. Her father, too, was not allowed to meet her. When he went to Deoria six months ago, the staff told him his daughter had run away.

“Cases of kidnapping and for criminal conspiracy have been lodged against Girija Tripathi,” said Deoria SHO Vijay Narayan.
